Los Angeles - On Saturday, UFC on ESPN 49 was broadcast, and MMA Junkie offered live coverage and official results.

The UFC Apex in Las Vegas hosted UFC on ESPN 49. ESPN and ESPN+ both broadcast and streamed the event.

Holly Holm (15-6 MMA, 8-6 UFC), the former women's bantamweight champion, was defeated by Mayra Bueno Silva (10-2-1 MMA, 5-2-1 UFC) in the main event. In the co-feature, rising welterweight sensation Jack Della Maddalena (14-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) overcame last-minute opponent Bassil Hafez (8-3-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) to earn his fifth straight victory.

The official results and play-by-play for UFC on ESPN 49 are listed below.

Ailin Perez vs. Ashlee Evans-Smith

Round 1 - Perez's powerful combination successfully hits Evans-Smith. Perez fires a shot, winning the takedown. Perez is currently in half guard after some effective ground and pound. Round 2: The dynamic is the same; neither fighter produced a lot of volume, but both threw hard. Munoz's left knocks Deaton out cold! It appears that Munoz has made the better shots thus far. Deaton now sways due to a blow! Deaton's nose is gushing blood. Munoz is now much better at hitting his mark. Here, Munoz is under constant pressure. Deaton is getting in some solid shots. Munoz has bleeding from the brow of his left eye. Close battle, but Munoz's shots were more accurately made.

Round 3: Munoz's monster strikes down Deaton! Munoz pounded him all over with his hands and feet. Munoz attacks nonstop. Deaton appears to be on the mend, while Munoz appears to have scaled back the onslaught a little. Munoz is in charge of Deaton at this point and doing some ground and pound. Deaton's face is bleeding profusely. Deaton is being controlled by Munoz here against the cage. Huge hit by Munoz! Deaton stands back up but is restrained by the barricade. Two minutes remain. The action has drastically slowed down. Deaton manages to get away and delivers a knee to the body. Before the bell rings, the two toss, but neither makes contact.

Istela Nunes vs. Viktoriia Dudakova

Round 1: Dudakova has good hand speed and attempts to counter Nunes' initial forward pressure. Nunes moves to post Dudakova's arm as she dives into a low takedown attempt. It breaks and bends in a horrible way. The altercation is over. Nunes was writhing on the ground, screaming in pain. Unlucky outcome for both, but Dudakova triumphs.

Tucker Lutz vs. Melsik Baghdasaryan

Both men launch into a kick-heavy opening round plan. Lutz hits the body and legs while Baghdasaryan targets the body and head. Baghdasaryan is moving around the outside using his footwork while Lutz begins to work around the task. With three minutes remaining in the battle, Lutz successfully executes the first takedown, half pinning Baghdasaryan against the fence. The situation stagnates for several minutes without any progress or harm being done.

Round 2: Out of concern of the takedown, Baghdasaryan chooses his opening strikes methodically. He strikes Lutz in the body with a powerful body kick and a left uppercut, knocking him out. Baghdasaryan pursues him while throwing punches and a flying kick, but Lutz holds his ground and seems to have fully recovered. A blow to the groyne is delivered by Baghdasaryan, who then kicks Lutz in the head as the referee orders them to halt. As the action resumes, Lutz lands a powerful body kick. Lutz's head is snapped back by Baghdasaryan's strong right hand after he responds with a head kick that narrowly misses. With just over two minutes remaining, Lutz attempts to fake a takedown but decides against it. 

Assailant Baghdasaryan is dissecting him. Baghdasaryan sprawls and blocks the takedown as Lutz fires. They fight until there are just over 30 seconds left, when Lutz manages to pull down his opponent but is powerless to use it.

Round 3: The fight is stopped when Baghdasaryan severely pokes Lutz in the eye to begin the third round. Lutz is fine, and the conflict resumes. After landing another harsh body kick, Baghdasaryan quickly tags Lutz with a series of punches. Baghdasaryan is pushed up against the fence by Lutz as they lock fists. He eventually succeeds in yanking the legs out. 

In an attempt to threaten with a rear-naked choke, he takes the back, but Baghdasaryan maintains his composure and spins back up to his feet. He forces Lutz up against the fence and gives him a few clinch knees to the body, but Lutz quickly changes positions and resumes his takedown attempt. Time is rapidly ticking off the clock as he gives up and clinches Baghdasaryan against the fence. Baghdasaryan eventually manages to push himself free and executes three consecutive body kicks. In the last seconds, they exchange blows, and Baghdasaryan has the advantage to win.

Round 1 - McKinney's left hand was large. They begin swapping positions as soon as they lock up against the cage. Sadykhov is defeated by McKinney via the cage. McKinney now takes the back and sinks into the triangle position! There has only been one minute. McKinney is mostly aiming for a rear-naked choke, though he does hit several blows. Just control from McKinney; no damage. Two minutes remain. Sadykhov escapes and triumphs with 40 seconds left! They struggle and eventually stand up again. His nose is bleeding, and Duraev. They're exchanging, these two! Park's right eye is bleeding. Duraev hit some big shots. Duraev threw a hard leg kick. Nice chin, Park. Good shots from Park. Duraev keeps hitting Park with powerful blows, but Park is handling them well while honing his jab. Park receives a kick, the two struggle, and Park is choked to death! It's really close! Round 2: Park made some good jabs. By using his gun, Duraev downs his opponent by the cage. Park is briefly held by Duraev before standing back up. Three minutes remain. Round 1 -  Prado positions himself in the cage's middle and starts to pursue Azaitar. Prado pushes Azaitar up against the cage as he attempts a takedown. Azaitar frees herself. Azaitar gives a right hand. Pardo swallows an elbow while attempting to clinch Azaitar against the cage. Azaitar made a good body shot. Azaitar's elbows were good. The target is now in his sights. Two minutes remain. Prado's spinning elbow connects! What a battle. Oh! Azaitar is dropped by a rotating elbow! Prado used ground and pound on him all over! Azaitar is being attacked! It is done. What an ending.
